Noordin Top dead
A SEVEN-YEAR manhunt for Southeast Asia's most wanted terror leader, Noordin Mohammad Top, has finally come to an end on Thursday (September 19, 2009) when he was shot dead in a nine-hour siege on a house in Solo, Central Java.

Indonesia's national police chief Bambang Hendarso Danuri said: 'From national police doctors' examinations...and fingerprints sent by the Malaysian police, thank God, in this holy month of Ramadan...it is Noordin M. Top.'.

Noordin Top was born in Kluang, Johor; 11 August 1968.

RM400k Traffic Lights

The traffic lights at this junction (pic) near Kempas costs around RM400,000. First, it is dastardly pricey. I wonder how many electronic poles such as this one, commonly seen on the roads costing hundreds of thousands. Second, is the 'project' in line with the city's development plan which seeks to do away with traffic lights or keep it as minimum as possible?

Kempas (N47) is won by Datuk Osman Sapian of UMNO in this year's general election. He polled 15,897 votes, winning 8,186 majority over PAS' Suhaizan Kaiat. So, why it costs so much could only be answered by the fella. What are the justifications to add another stop on this stretch of road which has so many traffic lights already? We pay the taxes and somebody spent it on a few poles that add more woes to our traffic.

I seriously doubt he would be held accountable for it.
